Pentalver Transport began operations in 1980 with just 16 people, offering road haulage services to shipping lines using the Port of Southampton. Since that time, the Company has expanded and diversified and is now widely regarded as the leading provider of container-related activities in the UK. The Pentalver Group now provides, amongst other things, container sales and leasing, bespoke container conversions, storage and repairs, road haulage, refrigeration services and cargo handling. In addition, the Company has a long history of supporting the UK Government and Ministry of Defence in both peace time and during times of conflict. Today the Pentalver Group employs almost 800 people, and has depots at all the UK?s major container ports of Southampton, Felixstowe and Tilbury, plus a modern, purpose-built depot at Cannock near Birmingham. Pentalver operates a Quality Assurance system to BS ISO 9001:2000 standard. This is managed internally by a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager, with external assistance provided by a QA consultant. Audits are carried out internally and externally, by both our QA consultant and Lloyds Register (LRQA).
