Gernot Brinkman was very professional and helpful along the way. His quote was off but not his fault as the goods weighed more than anticipated but the logistics went very well. The only negative is he did not know China only allows 50 books to be shipped in and one must pay a customs fee or tax on any above that amount. When we ran into problems with my residence status, he weighed in heavily with his goods receptor in Shanghai, which was much appreciated. | |

Mr Brinkmann was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable in the early stages. Until payment. Then, he suddenly almost never got back to me by phone or email. The shipment was delayed for several unclear reasons, and inbetween they first tried to charge me more, since they claimed the volume was larger than agreed upon. Luckily I had records of the volumes of individual items, so I could make a case that the volume could not be almost 2x the agreed amount! Shipment finally arrived okay, but >6 weeks later than anticipated, and Mr Brinkmann never even contacted me during the last weeks of waiting, or upon arrival. Not sure how he could neglect customer contact that much once I had paid, but I found this very frustrating and dishonest. | |

Below are the issues that I had with Nilson: 1. I had a difficult time receiving a pick-up date for my items. I had to call and e-mail repeatedly and found out only 1 week before the movers came. 2. After providing a detailed list of everything I was shipping, the estimate was $4000 under estimated! While we did work out a solution and I still paid $2000 more than the estimate, my items sat in a warehouse 30 minutes from the pick-up location for 1 month while Nilson worked out the lower cost. 3. I received an e-mail on October 6 that my shipment had arrived in the UK. Beginning 1 week later, I called once or twice a week and no one could tell me where my shipment was. I received the same response "It's on it's way". For the past two weeks I have been bounced between Nilson and the Christ (swiss moving company). Each company directed me to call the other one to determine where my shipment was. Why was there no tracking? No I am getting e-mails from Dachser Spedition AG. Who are they? 4. Now my items have been in transit for over 3 Months and I recieve an e-mail today that the paperwork is incorrect. Paperwork that I paid Nilson to complete! Did you not send them the signed paper that I provided on August 10? Obviously not since the attachement that Ms. Meili sent does not have my signature on it. - I have now received a copy of the customs for from the below sender. She has informed me that without proper paper work I cannot receive my goods. Again, why did I pay Nilson to ship my goods, when clearly you are not concerned about your customers that are paying for your service. 5. Finally I have repeated asked for the bill for the insurance. I have been assured that my shipment in covered for damage. However, I have yet to recieve a bill to pay for this insurance. I surely hope this shipment is covered! I have tried to be patient, however no one at Nilson has given me an answers in the past month. To say that I am upset is an understatement. This whole process has been terrible. | |

Shipment arrived damaged. Needed report from Nilson for insurance, UK office only has voicemail, never responded. Fortunately claim wasn't much over the excess but not a company I'd ever use again or recommend. . | |
