The Shipments channel allows you to manage all your active shipments in one place. We automatically group your shipments by their status between origin and destination. You can ?drill down? to details on a specific shipment by clicking on one of the statuses. The Shipments channel also includes an alert feature that indicates the number of shipment that have arrived at destination over a specific number of days. The number of days can be customized per your requirements. You can even download all your shipment data to a spreadsheet with the click of a button. Shipment Tracking (Enhanced) With our improved online tracking tool, your shipment statuses have never been more visible and complete. You get richer shipment data in a matter of seconds. To eliminate cumbersome scrolling, shipment details are neatly organized and presented in 6 different tabs: Summary, Booking Details, Hazmat, Routing/Container Status, BL Details and Clearance. A click on any tab readily reveals relevant information. To ensure enhanced security, data accessibility is restricted to parties reflected on the Bill of Lading. Added details include those on all relay ports, pick-up numbers, seal numbers, firms code, reefer settings, last train sightings and more. An alert feature brings your attention to any U.S. inbound-related issues such as Customs Clearance, Customs Holds and Cashier Clearance. Download PDF brochure. Arrival Notification via HomePort Receive shipment arrival notices by email through the Arrival Notification (AN) function in HomePort. This feature not only enables you to log in and view your current arrival notice, you can also: * Search for your arrival notices through various fields including bill of lading number, port of discharge and vessel voyage. * Set the regular distribution of arrival notices at a scheduled date and time to different email addresses in your HomePort address book. Exception Alerts The Shipments channel now alerts you to exceptions when your shipments have been at certain statuses longer than a specified period of time. For example, you can be alerted when any shipments have been at destination more than 5 days. Alerts apply to the following statuses: * Origin * Load Port * Discharge Port * Destination By clicking the "edit" button in the Shipments channel bar, you can customize your alerts in three ways: Change the threshold days * Choose which of the four alert statuses to display * Select whether or not to display inactive statuses Personal Trace List Use this tool to save a specific list of BLs or container numbers for detailed tracing. Trace your HOT shipments every time you come to HomePort. Diversion Request You can even initiate a diversion request to change the destination of your shipment. APL customer service will handle your request promptly.
